Chloe Chargois has been named a Stamps Scholar, one of the nation’s most prestigious merit-based scholarships. This fall, she will attend Louisiana State University (LSU) as part of the Stamps Scholars Program, which honors students for their leadership, academic excellence, and dedication to service.
This year, LSU received approximately 65,000 applications, making Chloe’s achievement even more remarkable. After submitting her application and essay, she was selected as one of the top 50 applicants invited to campus for a special weekend that included tours and multiple rounds of interviews. From there, she advanced to the top 15 finalists who were ultimately awarded the prestigious Stamps Scholarship.

As a Stamps Scholar at LSU, Chloe will receive a full cost-of-attendance scholarship, along with additional funding for enrichment opportunities like study abroad, research, and professional development. Established in 2006, the Stamps Scholarship partners with top universities across the country to provide exceptional academic and leadership experiences.

Chloe’s selection highlights her remarkable accomplishments both in and out of the classroom. During her time at Kaplan High School and Southside High School, she excelled academically while also being actively involved in student leadership, athletics, and community service. Her ability to manage challenging coursework while making a meaningful impact truly sets her apart as a leader.

With this honor, Chloe joins a distinguished group of scholars who will gain access to mentorship, global experiences, and leadership development throughout their college journey. Her hard work and determination have not only earned her this recognition but also made her a role model for future Kaplan High School students.

There are some shows you go watch… and then there are the ones you feel.

Today at Kaplan High, our students are bringing the FINAL performance of The Lion King to life with power, emotion, and heart. Every note, every line, every movement on that stage represents hours of dedication, courage, and belief in something bigger than themselves.

These students didn’t just put on a show; they created something special. They poured their soul into every moment, and it shows.

If you’ve ever supported Kaplan High, if you’ve ever believed in what our students can do, or if you just want to experience something genuinely moving… this is it.

Join us today at 2:00 PM and be part of the magic. You don’t want to miss this one.

That’s not just a win. That’s a statement.

Our Pirates didn’t just open the playoffs… they took control of them with a dominant 9–3 victory over St. Martinsville. This was a complete team performance, from clutch hits at the plate, to sharp defense behind the ball, to a dugout that brought energy every single inning.

Every player had a hand in this one.

And on the mound, Sabe David delivered a performance that will be remembered, striking out 14 batters in his final time taking that field. A special moment for a senior who stepped up in a big way, backed by a team that played right alongside him the entire night.

Now it’s on to Kinder.

One more game stands between us and the next round, and then it’s a best two out of three series next week. The competition gets tougher, but this group is showing exactly who they are.

You can feel it building across this entire team.

Pirate Nation, get ready.

We’re not done. We’re UNSTOPPABLE. 🏴‍☠️

UNSTOPPABLE doesn’t even begin to describe what our FCCLA students accomplished at the State Leadership Conference! Our Pirates showed up, competed, and made a statement: Dax Dale and Ethan Tran tied for 2nd place in Lifetime Nutrition and Wellness, proving their knowledge and dedication at the highest level. Kayden Marceaux captured 1st place in Entrepreneurship, showcasing innovation, creativity, and real-world readiness. All three have officially qualified for the National Leadership Conference and earned $1,500 scholarships, an incredible achievement that reflects their hard work and commitment. And it doesn’t stop there… Sydney McDaniel was elected Vice President of Public Relations and Membership, while Jorgia Stephens was elected Vice President of Community Service. That means Kaplan High leadership is now helping lead at the state level. We are proud of every student who attended and represented Kaplan High with leadership, confidence, and class. This is what it looks like when preparation meets opportunity. The future is bright, and our Pirates are proving they are truly UNSTOPPABLE. 🏴‍☠️

We are proud to have you representing Kaplan High at the highest level. The future is bright, and you continue to show what it means to be UNSTOPPABLE. 🏴‍☠️

April is Autism Awareness Month, and at Kaplan High School, we take this time to recognize, support, and celebrate the incredible individuals who make our school community stronger every single day.

Autism is not something to “fix” or “overcome”, it is a different way of experiencing and interacting with the world. And within our halls, we are proud of the students who bring unique perspectives, talents, and strengths that challenge us to grow, to be more patient, more understanding, and more inclusive.

This month is a reminder for all of us to lead with empathy, to listen more, and to create a school environment where every student feels seen, valued, and supported. Our goal is not just awareness, but acceptance and action.

To our students, families, and staff members who walk this journey daily, thank you for trusting us, teaching us, and making Kaplan High School a better place because of who you are.

We are proud to stand with you, not just this month, but every day.🏴‍☠️

Kaplan High is proud to recognize Cole Hargrave and Noah Vincent for earning their spot in the LYBN High School State Championship Fishing Tournament!

This past weekend, the duo finished 16th at the D’Arbonne Duo Day 2 tournament, bringing in a strong 5-fish limit weighing 7.66 pounds while competing against a talented field.

What makes this even more special is the journey. These two seniors have spent the past seven years fishing side by side, showing what commitment, consistency, and true teamwork look like.

They will compete for a state title on May 2 and 3 at Doiron’s Landing. Pirate Nation is behind you both as you take on the next challenge! 🏴‍☠️

Kaplan High School is ready to celebrate a week that is all about purpose, pride, and the future of leadership on our campus.

Join us for our “Lead With Legacy” Student Council Week, happening April 13–17. Throughout the week, we will be celebrating in a variety of ways, including our themed dress days. Students are encouraged to participate, represent with pride, and most importantly, follow all guidelines carefully. If there are any questions, please reach out to the administration.

This week is more than just dress-up days; it represents something bigger. We are in the process of revamping what Student Council looks like at Kaplan High School, and we are building it with intention. Our goal is to develop leaders who set the standard, take ownership, and leave a lasting impact on this school.

What’s ahead is strong, it’s focused, and it’s built on what it truly means to lead.

We can’t wait to show our students, staff, and community what leadership will look like moving forward.

The future of Kaplan High leadership is being built right now, and it’s going to be UNSTOPPABLE 🏴‍☠️
